One-State Not The Answer

It appears to me that the attack on President Obama is an attack on the messenger and absolutely neglects any attention to the message. (“Israel Seen Bracing For More UN Moves,” Dec. 30)
The continual expansion of the settlements makes it clear to anybody with an open mind that the Israeli government seems to have no serious interest in pursuing peace. My guess is that those people who can envision and would be happy with the one-state solution are not especially concerned about it being democratic. They cannot imagine that under those circumstances, Israel would no longer end up the Jewish state they prayed for. Such a state would profoundly compromise our basic Jewish values.
