The OU foisted a panel upon us made up of clones of themselves to unanimously rule against women becoming rabbis (“OU Nixes Women Rabbis: What Else Is New?” Feb. 10).
The question is why does the Orthodox world keep missing its rendezvous with the future and the enlightenment? One possibility is that the people who rule in Jerusalem and New York are self-serving and in some ways simply protecting their guild.
