Israel or guns? I guess that is your question (“Cotton, NRA Darling, Comes To Englewood,” Editor’s column, March 2). The answer is that Israel has a lot of guns; it does not have much gun violence. And we, even you and your liberal Jews, all applaud Israel when it stands strong to its neighbors — all who tried to wipe her off the map.
Please stop damning the Orthodox and [political] conservatives who want a comprehensive bill [on gun control] and real discussion, not just videos of NRA members and the victims. True debate will happen, and real reform is needed, but it won’t happen in public with bashing [groups like NORPAC].
