Regarding last week’s story “Dem. Primary Could Split Jews Over Israel,” about the gubernatorial race, does Cynthia Nixon not believe in Israel’s right to exist? Of course, she does. If you are in favor of Israel leaving the West Bank for its own benefit and moving in the direction of a two-state solution that doesn’t make you anti-Israel. Boycotting institutions in the West Bank is not boycotting Israel.
The future of Israel as a Jewish Democratic state is in danger if Israel moves in the direction of a one-state solution ignoring the legitimate needs and rights of the West Bank Palestinian population. Mr. Dershowitz is manipulating the truth.
