At its annual dinner later this month, The Ramaz School will honor three women for their dedication to Jewish scholarship, problem-solving and inclusivity. The honorees are:

Gail Propp is a parent of alumni and an honorary board member whose advocacy is focused on students with learning issues and supporting families in difficult situations. In a community-building effort, she recently brought the cast of the Netflix series “Shtisel,” about a charedi family in Jerusalem, to Ramaz/Kehilath Jeshurun for a panel discussion. (Propp is a Jewish Week board member.)

Dana Hiltzik is a Ramaz alumna, parent of a Ramaz student, Charter Trustee and former President of Parents Council. She has created new opportunities for parents to communicate with the administration and with each other (e.g., individual grade events, drop-ins with parents).

Jennifer Bernstein, the head of Ramaz’s middle school, is being honored on the school’s 20th anniversary. A Ramaz parent, she is credited with reinvigorating the school’s programming as well as its parent and student bodies. Bernstein led the development of Ramaz’s strategic plan and 10-year New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) review.

The event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 23, 5 p.m., at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway. To register go ramaz.org/dinner or call (212) 774-8055.
