After arresting seven members of a Borough Park family early Tuesday morning, authorities charged two of them with dealing narcotics. Dror Hershowitz, 25, and his wife, Mora, were to be arraigned Wednesday for allegedly trafficking narcotics from the basement of their home on 41st Street, said a spokeswoman for Brooklyn District Attorney Charles J. Hynes.
Cops broke down the door of the Hershowitz home at 6 a.m., arresting the couple, along with Dror’s brother and sister, Ravin, 23,and Bella, 20; his parents, Miriam, 45, and Joseph, 61, and grandfather, Israel Drami, 76. Police said they recovered cocaine, marijuana, Ecstasy, a handgun and $121,620 in cash. Another brother, an unidentified minor, was arrested but released the same day. The family had Israeli passports, authorities said.
Borough Park City Councilman Simcha Felder said he was “shocked” by the news, and confident that the facts of the case would emerge in court. “If in fact these allegations are true, then it’s terrible,” he said.
