Israel is constructing some 3,000 new settler homes, Peace Now reported. The settler watchdog group also said in a report Wednesday that some 2,000 Israelis are living in outposts, and quoted the Interior Ministry as saying that some 268,000 Israelis are living in West Bank settlements, a 5 percent increase from the previous year. The group reported that no new outposts were constructed in 2006, though some of the 102 extant ones were expanded or improved.
