Palestinian Media Watch slammed a dovish Jewish group for defending Palestinian Authority textbooks. Brit Tzedek V’shalom criticized “From Nationalist Battle to Religious Conflict,” PMW’s report on incitement in Palestinian textbooks, in a letter to U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) last week.”We are disappointed that a Jewish organization has rushed to the defense of Palestinian Authority hate education,” PMW said in a letter. The Palestinian Authority will “exploit” the endorsement from a Jewish group, PMW warned, urging Brit Tzedek to retract its letter to Clinton. Brit Tzedek wrote to Clinton after she endorsed PMW’s report on the textbooks earlier this month. Brit Tzedek said the books are “unusual in that they endorse democracy” and endorse a “peaceful resolution” of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
