Israel’s embassy in Washington
established an homage site to Israel’s captive soldiers.
The site, a stand featuring photos
of missing soldiers, was dedicated Friday in the embassy’s atrium.
“The redemption of captives is
one of the fundamental values in Judaism and in the Israeli experience,”
said Sallai Meridor, the ambassador. “Redemption of captives is
unconditional.”
