Israel probes Gaza evacuation blacklist

Israeli authorities are investigating a right-wing
campaign to identify police and soldiers who carried out evacuations of
Gaza Strip settlers. Police said Thursday they were investigating
efforts by pro-settler activists to circulate a book with photographs of
some of the service personnel who took part in the 2005 pullout. The
authors, said to be from a radical wing of the Chabad movement,
apparently want to identify those in the pictures and compile their names in
a blacklist. Several high-ranking Israeli officers have been heckled
for their part in the evacuation of 8,000 settlers from Gaza.
