Israeli
military investigators identified the remains of a soldier killed in fighting
nearly 60 years ago.The body of Mordechai Franko, a Palmach fighter who died
trying to break the Arab siege on Jerusalem during the 1948 War of Independence,
was found in a burial plot near Kibbutz Kiryat Anavim, just west of Jerusalem,
Israel Radio reported Monday. Franko will be reinterred with full military honors
next week.
