A significant majority of Israelis are happy with their lives, a government survey found.
According to the Central Bureau of Statistics poll released this week, 84 percent of Israelis say they are “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with their lives, and 79 percent are similarly upbeat about their state of health.
Despite the problems facing the country, 52 percent of Israelis believe that the coming years will bring better times, the survey found. The optimism was more pronounced among religious than secular Israelis.
The poll was conducted among 7,300 respondents over 2006. No margin of error was given.
