U.S. pilots teamed up with the Israeli Air Force to conduct joint exercises in southern Israel. The weeklong exercises began Sunday in the southern Negev desert. Dozens of aircraft simulated bombing targets on the ground and dog fights. Refuting statements that the exercises are taking place in light of Iran’s nuclear program, an Israeli military source told Agence France Presse the exercises were “planned two years ago and are not linked to the situation in any country.”
