Israeli troops killed a gunman belonging to a terrorist group associated with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah Party. Israeli soldiers followed a taxi in the West Bank town of Nablus after they saw two gunmen enter the taxi before dawn Friday. They opened fire after one of the gunmen leaped from the taxi, according to an account confirmed by both sides by the Associated Press. The man belonged to Al Aqsa Martyr’s Brigades. Israeli authorities say they will continue to track and confront Al Aqsa terrorists even as they back Abbas’ attempts to confront Hamas, the Islamist terrorist group.
