An Israeli citizen jailed in Lebanon has been released on bail.
Daniel Sharon, a dual German-Israeli citizen who was arrested in Beirut four weeks ago as a suspect in a murder case, was released on bail Tuesday, according to the German magazine Der Spiegel. He was also accused of being a spy.
He was expected to leave for Frankfurt.
Sharon had visited Lebanon 11 times in two years using his German passport. While he has been cleared in the murder case, he still faces charges of entering the country illegally and of homosexual activity.
