An Israeli Arab who drove a suicide bomber to a Tel Aviv club was sentenced to five consecutive life terms.
Ashraf Qaisi was convicted Thursday on five counts of murder, aggravated assault, contacting a foreign agent and aiding an enemy during wartime.
The attack on the Stage Club on a popular beachfront promenade killed five and wounded 50.
Qaisi accepted money to drive the Palestinian assailant to the site of the attack and was aware of the terrorist’s mission, the court said.
The Israeli citizen also chose the attack site and approached Islamic Jihad to offer his assistance. He claims he did it because he was desperate for money.
