The Lauder Business School was inaugurated in Vienna.
Though the business program has been in operation since 2003, it has expanded and its official inauguration was held Wednesday amid celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation. The foundation has reached some 34,000 Jewish youth in central and eastern Europe.
Among those on hand for the business school festivites were about 200 young Jewish students from across Europe, Israel and the United States. They gathered to thank Lauder for enabling them to study business and Judaism, as well as to meet other young Jews.
Also attending were the U.S. ambassador to Austria, Susan McCaw, and local political and religious leaders.
Lauder on Wednesday also helped hammer a mezuzah to the entry of a new floor at the Lauder Chabad Campus in Vienna. Children serenaded Lauder from each level of the multi-storied staircase.
