Israeli police trained Palestinian Authority counterparts on road safety issues.
Around 60 officers from traffic police units in Israel and the West Bank Palestinian Authority met in a kibbutz outside Jerusalem on Wednesday for a professional workshop.
The one-day event was sponsored by European Union’s Police Mission in the Palestinian Territories, which was set up in 2005 amid international efforts to create effective security mechanisms in the Palestinian Authority.
As part of their presentation, Israeli police demonstrated the use of advanced traffic-control equipment.
