Tzipi Livni certified that the Palestinian Authority is not immune from terrorist victim lawsuits.
The Israeli foreign minister’s certification March 16 follows a ruling by Israel’s Supreme Court last year that such a certification was needed because it was not clear whether immunities granted sovereign nations apply to the Palestinian Authority.
The decision, which allows 55 lawsuits to go forward, comes weeks after the United States declined to intervene in similar lawsuits.
