U.S. Senate appropriators approved nearly $500,000 for agricultural cooperation between Israel and Ohio.
“The funding will contribute to agricultural research, technology development, and farm technique sharing between Ohio and Israel,” said a statement Tuesday from the offices of Sens. George Voinovich (R) and Sherrod Brown (D), both of Ohio, after the Senate Appropriations Committee included the sum in an agriculture appropriations bill.
The funds will focus on desert farming research in the Negev.
