WASHINGTON (JTA) — A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip hit Ashkelon’s industrial zone.
No one was injured in the attack Friday. Rockets launched by terrorists have increased in range in recent months, reaching well beyond the town of Sderot on the Gaza border.
An intensification of such attacks over the last two weeks tapered in recent days after Israel shut access to Gaza in a bid to get its Hamas rulers to enforce a cease-fire.
