JERUSALEM (JTA) — Malta dedicated its first embassy in Israel.
Maltese Foreign Minister Tonio Borg arrived in Israel Sunday and officially dedicated the Maltese embassy in Tel Aviv. The embassy, which had opened last October, is headed by Ambassador Abraham Borg.
Tonio Borg met President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem and visited the Yad Vashem Memorial Museum.
The day before, the foreign minister opened a diplomatic mission in Ramallah in the Palestinian Authority, where he met with Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and other PA officials.
