(JTA) — A Jewish center in Tulsa, Okla., was evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The threat that spurred Tuesday afternoon’s evacuation of the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center, part of a campus of Jewish institutions, turned out to be a hoax, according to the Tulsa World newspaper.

A center employee heard ticking sounds coming from a trash can inside the center, shortly after a call came into the center saying that a bomb was in the building. A bomb squad robot determined that the device was not an explosive, according to the report.

The retirement center, a museum, swimming pool, day care center and summer camp were evacuated during the police investigation.
