JERUSALEM (JTA) — Thousands from Israel and abroad will gather in Gush Etzion to participate in biblical studies.
The intensive four-day conference begins Monday at the Herzog College of Yeshivat Har Etzion for Higher Learning in the West Bank settlement. For the first time, the annual conference will include two days of sessions in English. Participants also will tour ancient sites in Israel.
The conference is the cornerstone of the institute’s efforts to develop techniques to spread Bible learning.
Rabbi Yoel Bin Nun, the founder of the program, calls the Bible the “blueprint for Jewish study throughout history.” This approach, he adds, “lends a new understanding and is pioneering the future of biblical study.”
