JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel had its first swine flu death.
Israel’s Health Ministry on Monday confirmed the death of a 35-year-old Eilat resident from the H1N1 virus. The victim belonged to one of the high risk categories for complications from the virus.
Some 1,100 people have been diagnosed with the swine flu in Israel. Only six have been hospitalized with complications related to the virus.
