JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian lawmaker compared Palestinian suicide bombings to the establishment of Jewish settlements in the West Bank.
Mohammed Dahlan, a member of the Fatah central committee and the party’s leader in Gaza, told Israel Radio Sunday that rioting in Jerusalem will continue as long as "settlers" continue to visit the Temple Mount.
Dahlan added, however, that the Palestinians were not interested in starting a third intifada.
He compared Palestinian suicide attacks to the building of Jewish settlements, asking "What is the difference between blowing up a bus in Tel Aviv and taking over Palestinian land?"
