JERUSALEM (JTA) — Actress Mia Farrow said she was "outraged" over conditions in Gaza during a two-day visit to the coastal strip.

Farrow, a human rights activist who visited Gaza on Wednesday and Thursday as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Children’s Fund, criticized Israel’s blockade of Gaza, as well as Hamas attacks on southern Israel.

Farrow visited a hospital and met with children at a northern Gaza school. She is scheduled to visit Jenin in the West Bank and the southern Israel town of Sderot.

"All people of conscious are offended and outraged by this situation," she told a news conference Thursday in Gaza.

On Wednesday, Farrow met in Amman with Jordan’s Queen Rania, UNICEF’s eminent advocate for children. Farrow, a mother of 14, has been a UNICEF goodwill ambassador since 2000.
