JERUSALEM (JTA) — Iran could change the direction of its nuclear program, the Israeli army’s chief of staff said.
"Iran is very radical on one hand, but on the other hand you can’t say that it is an irrational country," Gabi Ashkenazi told the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tuesday.
Ashkenazi also told the committee that Hezbollah is armed with thousands of missiles that have a range of about 200 miles and can reach to the southern city of Dimona.
Ashkenazi also confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces was carrying out several investigations into the actions of its soldiers during the Gaza war and would look into any other complaints against its soldiers.
"I invite all Palestinians to testify if they have complaints," he said. "As of now, 60 Palestinians have delivered their testimonies."
