Jurors start deliberating in Seattle case

(JTA) –  Jurors began deliberations in the trial of the man alleged to have shot six people, killing one, at the Seattle Jewish Federation.

The defense and the prosecution did not differ on the facts during the trial, which ended Thursday afternoon, but over whether Naveed Haq could tell right from wrong.

Prosecutors acknowledged Haq’s mental disorders, but said his shooting raid on July 28 2006, which killed Pam, Waechter and wounded five other, was fueled in part by hatred of the Jews.

This is Haq’s second trial; a trial last year ended with a hung jury.
