JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli exploration company announced it found gas and oil during drilling under the city of Rosh Ha’Ayin.
The Givot Olam Oil Exploration Limited Partnership said it found "significant quantities" of oil at its drilling site in Rosh Ha’Ayin. Gas was also found in the drill mud, Globes reported.
Drilling will continue for a few more months at which time it would be able to assess whether the discovery is commercially viable, according to reports.
The company began drilling in June.
