I wrote a brief earlier about how David Victor, AIPAC’s outgoing president and incoming chairman of the AIPAC board, was set to plea for a civil reception for Obama administration officials.
It looks like the activists are receptive; Victor just spoke of the discipline "required as we work through this difficult time in the U.S.-Israel relationship." The following were applause lines:
— "Every speaker and guest at this conference must be made to feel that we extend the hand of friendship."
— "We are not here to protest, we are here to win the policy debate."
