No way around it, we screwed up. Or I did.
I asked an intern to brief this Gallup poll, and for the life of me, I can’t remember how I came across it. I saw the top date, which Gallup maintains as the current day, and neglected to check the release date … or something. I screwed up.
It’s a slow news week, and an editor made it the top item for a while. The intern, to her credit, included in the brief that the poll was taken in February. Nobody further up caught it.
Mondoweiss is having fun with this, as they should. Here at JTA we admit our screwups.
Or "confess" them. How long until Mondoweiss explains why the descendants of people who survived slaughter should be treated as criminals who are required to "confess" their past?
