Your editorial and accompanying news story would lead us to fear the Tea Party and its candidates (Oct. 8).
However, at the recent [liberal] “One Nation Rally” in Washington, D.C., the previous week, many groups and participants were outright pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli.
The chant on the radio was “occupation is justification for resistance.” This resistance is, of course, killing innocent children and civilians in terror action. These groups are supported by 54 representatives — all Democrats — who feel sorry for the Palestinians and angry with Israel for defending itself.
My skin crawls with the partisan hypocrisy of the editorial remarks, focusing on the assumed negative aspects of the Tea Party, and Republican Party, while ignoring the obvious facts that the Tea Party and Republicans are more pro-Israel in their base instincts than these pro-Palestinians.
I don’t cast aspersions on every Democrat, but the insult should apply if the person feels it should.
Editor’s Note: The editorial in question made no reference to the Republicans.
