JERUSALEM (JTA) — Gilad Shalit took a walk with his mother near their home.
Israel media reported that Shalit, dressed in a T-shirt, sunglasses and a baseball cap with an IDF insignia, took a short walk Wednesday morning.
Also Wednesday, military doctors visited Shalit at his home. Doctors will see the former captive in the coming days to get a complete picture of his condition.
Following tests Tuesday, Shalit was found to have shrapnel wounds from his capture in June 2006 and to be suffering from malnutrition.
