I wanted to thank Rabbi Brad Hirschfield for writing such a lovely article explaining the spirit of the seder (“Guess Who’s Coming To Seder?” March 30).
He perfectly described the heart of my new show, “Guess Who’s Coming To Seder? A Delicious New Musical” which was recently featured at The York Theater in New York City and is running at The Tulsa Project Theatre through May 13.
The show is a comedy about a New York woman who decides to hold a seder in honor of her deceased parents and invites eight of her friends, none of whom is Jewish. By the end of the evening, they have all experienced a personal transformation and sense of freedom and renewal. As Rabbi Hirschfield so aptly stated, the seder is “about opening hearts and minds in ways that create new meaning, and unleash new possibilities.”
