As the product of a (non-boarding) prep school education, I’ve always been fascinated by the American Hebrew Academy’s experiment (“A Visit To The ‘Jewish Exeter’” Between The Lines, Dec. 7). I fully respect their vision and believe it a fully worthwhile effort.
Somehow, however, I always end up feeling that if it were closer to the northeast, it would be more successful in attracting students. Perhaps New Jersey and New York parents would have less trepidation at sending their Sammys and Mayas to Connecticut or Western Massachusetts than to Greensboro, N.C.
