Hamantaschen: a JTA tutorial

NEW YORK (JTA) — It’s Purim season, time to scarf down the hamantaschen, the holiday’s traditional filled cookie shaped like a triangle to symbolize the hat of the Purim story’s villain, Haman. 

In this video, JTA provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to make the little guys using a dairy-free recipe and no-hassle instructions.

Ingredients:

Dough:

4 eggs

1 cup sugar

5 cups flour

1/4 cup orange juice

1 cup oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking powder

Pinch of salt

Filling:

1/2 cup flavored jam

1/2 cup oats
