JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli man was seriously injured in a head-on collision with a car from the Palestinian Authority prime minister’s convoy at a West Bank junction.
In the Saturday afternoon accident, the car from the convoy of Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah slammed into a vehicle carrying an Israeli couple and their four children, Ynet reported.
The convoy was returning to Ramallah and the P.A. vehicle crossed into the lane of oncoming traffic while trying to pass other cars, according to Ynet.
The family was taken to Hadassah-Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
Hamdallah was riding in another car in the convoy at the time of the accident at the Tekoa Junction in the Gush Etzion bloc in the West Bank.
Three Palestinian security guards also were injured and were taken to a Hebron hospital.
