We’d like to take this opportunity to give Ben Stiller a premature thank you for the Christmas gift he will be bestowing upon his fellow Jews this year. “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” in which Stiller stars and directs, comes out December 25th, and judging from this trailer, it will serve as pre-Chinese food entertainment for many of our people.
In the adaptation of James Thurber’s 1939 story Stiller plays a Life magazine employee longing for some excitement–and for his co-worker (Kristen Wiig). The film has generated Oscar buzz, as well as some talk (specifically in a New Yorker story) of budget issues.
Here, a glimpse of Christmas day 2013. (Plus of Sean Penn and Adam Scott.)
