It turns out that Scarlett Johansson, everyone’s favorite Jewish ‘it’ girl, has a beef with fans: the 29-year- old actress hates the nickname ScarJo.
“I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant,” she said in the May issue of Glamour magazine. “And there’s something kind of violent about it. There’s something insulting about it.”
Although Johansson had no qualms about playing a disembodied voice for the Oscar-winning movie “Her,” she’d like all six syllables of her name to stay intact.
Good to know. Right now, Scarlett’s living large in Paris, in the first few months of her pregnancy with fiancée Roman Dauriac. We wonder what BabyJo (sorry Scarlett!) will have to say about future media nicknames?
