After I read Orli Santo’s article, “I Have The Right To Love Who I Love” (Sept 19), I did not quite understand the point.
Was the intention of the article to make your readers feel sympathetic to Orli Caspi’s forced separation from her non-Jewish Sudanese husband due to the Israeli government’s crackdown on asylum seekers?
Or perhaps was it to make your readers feel sadness (as I did) that too many young Jews are echoing Ms. Caspi’s words by also saying, “I have the right to love who I love”
