Your March 6 Editorial, “Bibi, Obama and Purim,” depicts an interesting analogy in its questions and answers. Regrettably, it lapses in certain alleged assumptions.
As stated, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “is a student of history” who authored a book on terrorism at its modern-day inception. That he should jeopardize his “relationship with the president “is hardly consequential since Israel’s U.S. support has always been founded on our relationship with the Congress. As for “trust,” what would prompt any Jew to be persuaded by the failed U.S. foreign policy? The Iranian leaders consistently announce their desire to destroy Israel and at times the U.S. experience and a sound Israeli intelligence organization lead us to believe them.
