JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Arab-Israeli worker in Herzliya was stabbed by a local man who reportedly shouted “Death to Arabs.”
The 27-year-old victim, a street cleaner in the central Israeli city, was slightly injured in the Monday morning terror attack. Police captured the attacker, who the injured man described as being Jewish with a Russian accent, Haaretz reported.
The suspect reportedly later confessed to the attack, which he said had nationalistic motives.
Herzliya Mayor Moshe Fadlon said he would increase police patrols in the wake of the attack.
“We will not tolerate acts of violence against any human being,” the mayor said.
