The European Union has decided to label goods coming from the West Bank and we tend to wring our hands in despair. While it might be difficult to identify all goods coming from these European countries to boycott in return, a good first step would be to focus on wine and liquor, which are easier to identify.
As a community, we should direct our purchasing away from the 16 countries that Israel is taking some diplomatic measures against. These include the UK, France, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Croatia, Malta, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Slovenia, Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, Belgium and Finland.
This is just one small step that we can take to show our unhappiness and display our purchasing power.
