I write to praise your associate editor Jonathan Mark.
I live in Los Angeles, but having grown up in Queens, I have been receiving The Jewish Week for years.
I have always admired the writing of Jonathan Mark, not only informative, but beautiful and poetic, laced with verbal connections to times that are no longer.
I read his recent column, “King Harvest Has Surely Come” (Aug. 24). It is a gem. A writer’s soft shofar blow adding to those others, creating a mood to accompany us to the gates of Yamim Noraim (the High Holy Days). Yasher Kochacha (all praise to you), Jonathan Mark, Yasher Kochacha.
