Bolton pushes pre-emptive Iran attack

John Bolton said a pre-emptive attack on Iran should be considered. The former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations told The Daily Telegraph of London on Wednesday that in light of diplomatic failures, the European Union should consider attacking Iran rather than allow it to develop a nuclear weapon. “It’s been
conclusively proven Iran is not going to be talked out of its nuclear
program. So to stop them from doing it, we have to massively increase
the pressure,” said Bolton, who resigned his position in December 2006.He suggested first bolstering opposition forces within Iran who could pursue regime change. But he added, “If all
else fails, if the choice is between a nuclear-capable Iran and the use
of force, then I think we need to look at the use of force.”
