The Jewish Agency and a major investment group in Israel are joining to give $11.6 million to three hospitals in northern Israel.

The agency and the IDB Group have partnered to assist Northern communities in the wake of last summer’s Lebanon war.

Their contribution was announced Aug. 9 as the cornerstone was laid for the new wing at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. Other hospitals that will receive support are the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya and the Ziv Hospital in Safed.

The Jewish Agency’s donations are via an emergency campaign of the United Jewish Communities of North America.
