Muslims can find information about Judaism on a new Web site.
Launched Monday, AskMusa.org provides essays about Judaism by Jewish writers as well as answers to questions about Judaism in five languages: English, Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and Bahasa, according to a statement.
The site, conceived by Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of The Simon Wiesenthal Center, is intended to dispel myths about Judaism among Muslims.
“Many religious Muslims are simply unaware of how much our faiths have in common,” said Mohammed Kahn, a Muslim-American interfaith activist who spoke Monday at an event in New York to launch the site. “My hope is that www.AskMusa.org will create a bridge of knowledge and understanding between Muslims and Jews.”
