Israeli forces killed nine alleged terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
Israel’s air force struck a car in Gaza City on Wednesday, killing its five occupants. They were identified as members of Army of Islam, a shadowy Gazan terrorist group. Military officials said the five were en route to carry out cross-border rocket attacks.
Separately, Israeli tanks and troops entered Beit Hanoun, a northern Gaza town that sees frequent rocket launches into Israel. Palestinian witnesses said an Israeli shell struck a house, killing four Palestinians inside. They were identified as a Popular Resistance Committees gunman and three of his relatives. The gunman had apparently shot at Israeli troops, drawing return fire against his home.
