An ancient seal believed to have belonged to the biblical Queen Jezebel was authenticated by a Dutch scholar.

Engravings on the seal discovered in Israel in 1964 indicate a “great possibility” that it belonged to the Egyptian queen, who features as a powerful idol worshipper in the Book of Kings, Marjo Korpel of Utrecht University said Tuesday.

The ornate seal, which is held by the Israel Museum, indicates that Jezebel was “a very intellectual woman,” Korpel told Reuters.
